Research Associate (PhD – Polymer / Biopolymer / Bioprocess
Roles and Responsibilities
- Advanced R&D on biopolymers (PHA, PLA, PBAT, PBS)
- Polymer synthesis, compounding, processing, and characterization
- Biopolymer formulation for films, sheets, coatings, adhesives, packaging
- Interpretation of DSC, TGA, GPC, FTIR, SEM, mechanical testing
- Process optimization, scale-up, and pilot trials
- Technical documentation, reports, patents, and publications
- Supervision of MTech/BTech staff
- Compliance with Government of India research & safety norms
Eligibility Criteria
- PhD in Polymer Science / Polymer Engineering / Materials / Biopolymer / Bioprocess
- Experience in PHA / PLA / PBAT / PBS preferred
Salary Details (Indicative – Government Norms)
Monthly Remuneration ₹50,000 – ₹55,000
Location(s) of Posting
Primary: R&D Laboratory / Pilot Plant Facility (India)
Secondary: Industry partner sites, incubation centres, or scale-up facilities
Any Other Specific Information
- All positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project
- No entitlement for permanent absorption
- Selection through interview / technical evaluation
- Candidates with experience in:
– Biodegradable packaging
– Fermentation & scale-up
– Sustainable materials developer in food packaging/medicine will be given preference
