The company began operations in 1994 and made history in 1995 as the first manufacturer in India to produce automatic bend straws.

Since 2018, Straw Express has developed a full range of compostable PLA drinking straws and stirrers from renewable corn starch, tapioca, and sugarcane-derived PLA.

The products are certified to ISO 17088 via CIPET and listed on the CPCB’s official compostable manufacturers compendium as Registration No. 30.

Approximately 15% of production is exported to the UK, Nigeria, and D.R. Congo.
