It is the same injection moulding process that manufacturers already use to melt and injected granules into a mould to form a rigid part. Our compostable biopolymer compound uses this process and is designed to break down under industrial composting conditions unlike PP or PS.
Yes. Melt temperatures run 170–190 °C, similar to PP grades. You can maintain most existing PP settings existing PP settings after minor gate and vent tweaks.

Rigid, repeatable parts that need good stiffness and a clean finish. Common examples include cutlery, lids/caps, cosmetic cases, small housings, and packaging accessories. These are also widely referenced as mainstream injection-moulded bioplastic applications.
Our biopolymer disintegrates within 90 days and fully biodegrades by 180 days in a certified industrial facility (≥58 °C, high humidity).
At container load volumes, EcoGran™ compostable resin costs about 10-15 % above commodity ABS. However, you can offset that through EPR fee reductions in some countries and/or consumer price premiums for eco-labelled products.
Unlike many natural-fibre biocomposites limited to earthy hues, our biopolymer blend accepts standard masterbatches, including pastel white,s because of the fine hemp micro-fibres that stay below the colour visibility threshold.
You can store compostable injection moulding biopolymers in a dry space below 30 °C for 12 months. We pack in moisture so the granules stay dry and ready to process.
