Natur Tec India Private Limited is a Chennai-based compostable plastic and bioplastic manufacturer that has been operating since October 2013. The company runs as a 90% subsidiary of Northern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC), USA, and commercialises NTIC’s proprietary bio-polymer platforms across India and the SAARC region under the Natur-Tec® brand. Led by Managing Director Dr. Sundar Rajan Balakrishnan, the firm has grown into one of the fastest-scaling enterprises in India’s bioplastics sector and supplies global brands including McDonald’s, Levi’s, Big Basket and the Landmark Group.
